Welcome.  My name is Glenn E. Gold and I'm a Registered Patent Lawyer that concentrates exclusively in patent, trademark, copyright and licensing matters. I primarily focus on the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and international patent and trademark applications.  I also provided opinions on patent and trademark availability and infringement. Before founding Gold & Rizvi, P.A., with my partner John Rizvi, I worked at Motorola, Inc.  My primary duties were concentrating primarily on patent prosecution matters. I then moved on to private practice at Quarles & Brady, LLP with their patent prosecution group.  With more than 450 lawyers, Quarles & Brady, LLP., is one of the largest law firms in the United States with offices in Florida, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Arizona.

Before I became a Patent & Trademark Lawyer, I worked as an Engineer for Motorola Inc. in Phoenix, Arizona (Semiconductor Products Sector) and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida (Land Mobile Products Sector). While at Motorola, Inc., I gained considerable experience with a vast array of technology related products including printed circuit board processing, integrated circuit (chip) processing/packaging, and liquid crystal display (LCD) processing.

I also have a tremendous amount of experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the mechanical, electro-mechanical, telecommunications, software and Internet arts. In addition to working with individuals and small-to-medium sized companies, I've also drafted and/or prosecuted patent applications for a number of large, well-known companies and institutions such as the University of Florida, Motorola, IBM and Lockheed.

In regards to my education; I received my Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Miami, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Material Science Engineering from the University of Florida.

I am licensed to practice in both State and Federal Courts in Florida, as well as before the United States Patent & Trademark Office in Washington, D.C., and I assist with managing our associates at our office locations in other U.S. States.
